Oaklands is situated in the heart of Braunton, one of the largest villages in Devon. Braunton is a popular village with tourists and surfers and has many surf shops, cafe's and restaurants to visit.

Nearby Saunton Sands is one of the best surfing beaches in North Devon and Braunton Burrows, the largest sand dune system in England, is well worth a visit.
